Covid-19: PP kits to Pu dispensary staff from today


CHANDIGARH: Panjab university Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Health Centre staff will be equipped with the polypropylene (PP) kits after decision is taken to open the dispensary for four hours on working days. Sources said that residents were demanding from the authorities that the dispensary of the campus should be open so that the patients can visit to get medicines and monitoring by doctors.

Professor Karamjeet Singh, registrar of campus issues an instruction that the working hours of Bhai Ghanaiya Ji Health Centre, Panjab University has been extended from 9 am to 1 pm on all working days and 10 am to 12 noon on Saturdays and holidays. The medicines available shall be dispensed on holidays also. This will be followed till April 14, 2020 and is an interim arrangement, he added.

Official said that at present eight PP kits are available with dispensary which is disposable and 80 PP kits were ordered by the authorities. These PP kits will be washable which is yet to receive by the dispensary. After the PP kits will be distributed to the 49 staff members of the dispensary who will attend the health centre training will be given to them how to remove it and wash it properly to avoid any threat of COVID-19 to them.
