Kunal Kamra: ‘IndiGo halves Kunal Kamra’s grounding period from 6 to 3 months’ | India Business News

NEW DELHI: IndiGo has halved its controversial grounding period of standup comedian Kunal Kamra from six to three months, said highly placed sources. Comments from IndiGo on the issue are awaited.
IndiGo had on January 28, 2020, banned Kamra hours after he confronted TV anchor Arnab Goswami on a Mumbai-Lucknow flight. Following an “advice” from aviation minister HS Puri that day, Air India, SpiceJet and GoAir also banned Kamra till further notice.
Kamra challenged this ban by IndiGo, that reportedly did not follow the rules of no fly list enacted by India two years ago. He moved Delhi high court which earlier this week asked DGCA (Directorate General of Civil Aviation) to show that the airline’s conduct was in accordance with the no fly list rules.
To their credit, the two Tata Group airlines — Vistara and AirAsia India — have not banned Kamra.
