UPPSC postpones PCS mains exam


PRAYAGRAJ: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has postponed the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Exam (mains)-2019, commonly UP PCS (mains) exam scheduled for this month.

Along with this the exam of Assistant Review Officer (ARO) and Review Officer (RO) too has been postponed by the commission.

According to controller of examination, UPPSC, Arvind Kumar Mishra, these exams have been postponed in view of the present crisis in the country owing to Covid-19 pandemic.

PCS (mains) examination 2019 was schedule for April 20 and result of preliminary exam of the same was declared on February 17 this year. A total of 6320 aspirants had passed for the main exams out of 3181475 candidates who had appeared in the exam. Likewise the commission have postponed the exams of RO and ARO exam which was schedule for May 3.

According to examination controller of the commission fresh dates of the postponed exams would be announced later.
